OUR VISION
To be the business that people hire when they want reliable, high quality, professional cleaning services that work in a fair and ethical way, which balances the needs of all involved.
OUR VALUES
Integrity
DGCC take integrity seriously. Without integrity we cannot effectively meet the needs of our clients or the colleagues we collaborate with daily. Without integrity we cannot develop harmonious relationships. DGCC extend grace where genuine mistakes occur by making sure they are corrected. We listen, we talk, we pride ourselves on offering positive support and opportunities to gain experience and improve through training. We aim to deliver what we promise to all.
The great writer C.S. Lewis said “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.”
Excellence
Excellence is “the quality of being outstanding or extremely good”. In practice, we show up on time. We do what we say we will do. We work hard and complete the job to the best of our ability. We do not cut corners or shirk responsibility. If we meet these basic requirements we then build and go on to exceed our clients’ expectations. DGCC will always strive for excellence through traditional and innovative ways.
Booker Taliaferro Washington was an educator, author and orator. He said, “Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way.”
Professionalism
Professionalism installs confidence and says we are competent and skilled. This shows our level of experience which gives us a depth of knowledge that is highly valued by all. DGCC is dependable, consistent, and sets a high standard in all we do.
Albert Einstein once said, “Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience. You need experience to gain wisdom.”
Development
DGCC believes that learning and developing skills is a lifelong commitment. We collaborate and collectively agree how to expand our knowledge base through training needs analysis. When opportunities are found the business invests in our colleagues and accesses professional development through workshops, classes, webinars, courses, and on site sharing of skills.
"Peter Drucker the Austrian American educator commented, “We now accept that learning is a lifelong process of keeping abreast of change, and the most pressing task is to teach people how to learn.”
Community
By far our biggest asset are the colleagues we work with from our local communities. DGCC look to build lasting relationships, helping people to grow and maximise their potential. In the same way we reach out to clients and the wider community through open and continual communication and engagement. We listen and always respond in a thoughtful and encouraging way. Confidentiality is always respected. We are committed to pooling our resources and brighten the day of those we meet. DGCC strive to support our local community through providing work, opportunities, and enriching the lives of all.
The Great Nelson Mandela said, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what differences we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
Work Life Balance
DGCC completely recognises and understand the benefit of a proportional work life balance. We work extremely hard and long hours at times in an undervalued profession. We are completely committed to helping find that work life balance for all. The ability to spend time with loved ones or engage in activities that enrich our wellbeing are well documented. One way we aim to do this is to provide the option for regular work and regular scheduled time off. Our industry can have people working 7 days a week just to make ends meet. It is why we are committed to the above and why collectively, whatever our roles, we receive the same pay. The rest gets ploughed back into running the business, overheads, shop, equipment, insurance, training and all those associated costs. We believe in transparency, equality, and caring for one another. DGCC are aware of issues that can arise, we have an open book approach to supporting one another, be it for children, illness, bereavement, or any other issue that impacts life. We do not have time scales or leave people feeling pressured or not ready to work. Working on solutions and options for those we care about is our way of supporting work life balance.
Dolly Parton once said, “Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”
